About the Author
Sue Patterson, wife and mom to three grown homeschoolers, is as busy as an "empty nester" as she was while the kids were all still home! Her kids are off on adventures of their own now, weaving in and out of her life. Sue and her family began homeschooling in 1996 when they found the local public schools simply weren't good enough. They participated in support groups at the local, state and national level, as her husband's military career moved them from state to state. Now, nearly two decades later, she feels she's seen enough and knows enough to help people understand more about how to homeschool successfully.
Sue is also a life coach and mentor helping families who are leaving the school system navigate their new homeschooling world. Through her experience, wisdom, and unique tips for each family's needs, parents gain confidence, knowledge, and find the reassurance they need to be successful. Sue also helps homeschooling families who feel “stuck in a rut” find more joy and excitement on their homeschooling path. Sue hosts the Unschooling Mom2Mom website/Facebook group, and is the managing editor of 'The Homeschooler Post.' A well-loved speaker at conferences around the country, Sue enjoys talking to people as much as she loves writing—combining the two whenever possible! She is excited to share the results of her new book, 'Homeschooled Teens!' She is sure that your fears will be allayed and after reading this, you'll be inspired and ready to dive into homeschooling your own teens!

Wisdom from Teens
By W. Eager
As an unschooling mom who only breaks out the worksheets to soothe my own occasional paranoia, Homeschooled Teens serves as a timely reminder that Everything's Gonna Be Okay. Drawing on the experience of the teens themselves, Patterson's thoughtful questions prompt 75 homeschooled teens and young adults to offer their own answers. Spanning issues from socialization, to college and non-college options, to relationships with parents and life after teen-hood, there is a wealth of wisdom between the pages of Homeschooled Teens. This is a terrific resource for homeschooling parents and teens alike.

Go ahead and order it!
By ABM
What a great resource/eye-opener/brainstorm starter for all the possible experiences (& more!) my unschooled teens can one day look forward to. This book covers all the questions and makes a nice guide for teens forging their own homeschooled path. And for parents on the verge wondering what it can be like. Or even for those already homeschooling teens- it's really great to see the varied journeys and glimpse the many different bits of these kids' lives. Highly recommend for your bookshelf!

It'll be alright
By Ron
Good insight for parents with homeschooled/unschooled children about to enter the teen years.
Let's you see how those kids turn out and what you will see from your own children.
It's awesome to get to hear (read) the voices of the homeschooled teens and young adults themselves as they answer typical questions - but also to hear wisdom from the author's 20 years of involvement with home education!
